Practical info

The useful page.

Everything guests actually ask, answered straight. Anything else — stay@drumhiernyhideaway.ie or +353 71 93 17777.

Arriving

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 11am. Check-in days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with two- and three-night weekend stays available.

How do we find you?

We’re at Drumhierny, Leitrim Village, Co. Leitrim, N41 T6P6 — a fifteen-minute walk from the village, ten minutes’ drive from Carrick-on-Shannon, around two hours from Dublin Airport and one hour from Ireland West (Knock).

Is there parking?

Yes — parking is available at the estate for guests. [To confirm with owner: at-lodge or central parking, and EV charging provision — see CONTENT_GAPS.]

Your lodge

What’s in the kitchen?

Everything for a proper self-catering stay: full cooker, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and the lot — make a quick cuppa or a full dinner for eight. The Woodpecker Café covers the lazy mornings.

Can we choose our bed setup?

Yes. In every lodge the standard bedrooms can be made up as a king or two singles — you choose the configuration for each room when you book. Wildflower and ReTREEt lodges also have a bunk room sleeping four.

Is there WiFi and TV?

Free WiFi throughout and a Smart TV in every lodge (50" in most styles, 45" in the Habitat A-frames). That said, the stargazing deck has better programming.

Pets & families

Are dogs welcome?

All sixteen lodges are dog-friendly. There’s a €50 cleaning fee per stay — add your pet as an extra when booking, and pre-booking is required. Pet-friendly lodges include a dog bed.

Do you have cots and highchairs?

[To confirm with owner — availability and any fee. See CONTENT_GAPS.] Contact us before your stay and we’ll arrange what we can.

Booking & payment

Why can’t I see availability for my dates?

There’s usually a two- or three-night minimum stay, and check-ins run Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Try selecting a two- or three-night window. Flexible on dates for a particular lodge style? Email stay@drumhiernyhideaway.ie and we’ll find it for you.

What’s the cancellation policy?

You can cancel or modify online using the link in your confirmation email. [Full policy terms to be confirmed by owner — see CONTENT_GAPS. The published policy will appear here before go-live.]

Is it cheapest to book direct?

Yes — we guarantee the best rate on this website, and booking direct means any special requests come straight to us.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

We do — lodge stays and Wellbeing Sanctuary visits both make dangerous gifts. You can also have a native Irish tree planted on the estate in someone’s name, with a numbered certificate.

Around the estate

Is the estate accessible for wheelchair users?

The Birds of a Feather, Wildflower and ReTREEt lodges are single-storey. [Detailed accessibility statement to be confirmed with owner — step-free routes, bathroom specifics. See CONTENT_GAPS.] Call us and we’ll talk through your needs honestly.

What are the Wellbeing Sanctuary hours?

Hours are seasonal. Book ahead at drumhierny.try.be or call +353 71 93 17053 — slots are one hour, or up to two with a seaweed bath, and advance booking is strongly recommended.

Is the Woodpecker Café open every day?

The café runs seasonal weekend-led hours (typically Friday evening through Sunday afternoon). Check at reception or our socials for the current week.

Gift vouchers & tree planting

Vouchers cover lodge stays and Wellbeing Sanctuary visits, and our tree scheme plants a native Irish tree on the estate in any name you choose — numbered, with a certificate, growing for as long as gifts go.
