Horse Chestnut, Old Oake and Wild Willow sit along Manor Avenue, each named for a tree that has stood on this estate longer than any of us. The roofline lifts high at the front, and the glazing follows it — so the living space feels less like a room with a view and more like a clearing with a roof.
These sleep eight, and they do it properly: the third bedroom takes full-size adult bunks with its own en suite. Groups of friends, three generations, a big birthday — this is the lodge that holds everyone.
